ARCHITECT

We are  looking for an OAA Licensed Architect to engage into the company projects, 

you will be qualified as below :  

 

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a similar capacity in the Design and planning industry;

  • Excellent communication, management, and graphic design skills;

  • Strong collaborator who can adapt readily to differing team dynamics;

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities;

  • Ability to multi-task in high-pressure situations;

  • Self-motivator, result-oriented, with a high degree of initiative, innovation, and flexibility

  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe InDesign as a principal layout tool, and a working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite;

  • Develop and manage the proposal delivery process from opportunity identification to document submission, tracking, and review;

  • Assist with developing and applying an overall strategy in a manner that is compliant with the proposal requirements and is consistent with policies and goals;

  • Provide strong graphic design, page layouts, interpretive graphics, and professional using the software

  • Manage multiple proposal processes as needed;

  • Create and maintain marketing collateral, such as CVs, project sheets, references, etc.

We are  looking for an OAA Licensed Architect engage in the company projects, you will be qualified as below :  

 

 

  • Knowledge of relevant planning and environmental legislation including the following: the Planning Act, the Environmental Protection Act and the Environmental Assessment Act, Mineral Aggregates Act, the Development Charges Act, and Provincial, Regional and Area Municipal policies, and regulations related to municipal planning and political processes.

  • Proven written and verbal communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills. Training in empirical research. Skill in the draft plan, air photo, and electronic image interpretation for environmental and land use applications.

  • Computer skills using geographic information systems, spreadsheets, presentation software, word processing, and statistical software packages, and databases.

  • Prepares, writes, and reads technical and research reports, planning reports, meeting agendas and minutes and compiles and interprets statistical information, policy, and procedure manuals. Frequently reads professional journals, planning reports and studies, official plans, and zoning by-laws in order to remain current in the field.

  • Interprets and explains complex planning policies and data. Prepares correspondence, memos, staff reports, project reports, and Planning and Works Committee reports. These documents are directed to Regional Council, other Regional Departments, outside agencies, or the public. Ability to compose and respond to written and verbal planning inquiries and data requests from area municipal staff, other municipalities, other agencies, and the public.

  • Makes occasional presentations to at public meetings, to local councils and technical committees, and external agencies at workshops or meetings.

  • Ability to support and project values compatible with the organization.

You have a strong understanding of design thinking and craft and are able to translate a big idea across multiple channels. Your portfolio is robust and well rounded and demonstrates a range of design concepts that include branding/identity, digital, communication design, and physical space. You keep abreast of current trends and technological developments and identify ways to apply them to your work. Because of your extensive experience, you’re a pro in any environment – be it in the office, on set, or in the boardroom - and can prioritize a high volume of work, while giving each project the attention it deserves. You’re hungry to do award-winning creative, and may already have some metal on your shelf. You have an education in a related field The ideal candidate must have:

 

  • Excellent knowledge of working with Illustrator / Photoshop

  • Experience setting up files for printing on textiles (layers, vector artwork, etc)
